Multicultural Initiatives Survey: Technologists took the 2003 Multicultural Initiatives Survey at the end of 2003 and in the beginning of 2004. The goal of this survey is to chronicle the voice of people of color on the major technology issues in 2003. Results of the survey will be made public soon.
"Jobs & Procurement: Where is the tech work?" In summer 2003, more than 200 technologists attended this evening event that highlighted non-venture capital means of attaining small business investment financing, insight into the process of pursuing New York City government's technology vendor contracts, and an examination of the current technology job market. About redIbis: At an October 23, 2002 meeting in Harlem, NY, redIbis announced its redirection to become a not-for-profit servicing the needs of IT and technology businesses owned and/or majority employed by people of color as well as the needs of IT and technology organizations focused on assisting people of color in the industry. Today, the Association of Chinese Computer Professionals, the Black Data Processing Associates as well as Hispanics in Information Technology & Telecommunications are three organizational members of redIbis.
